Polish Club branch and marketing reshuffle

She joined IBB Polonia London in 2016 under the Erasmus+ program. Along with the development of the club, she learned the role of volleyball development, developed her knowledge and her love of the sport. After five years of involvement and internal promotion, Katarzyna Strąg has been appointed Director of Marketing. Her new role sees her responsible for growing the brand of the Club, implementing the marketing strategy and maintain and developing relationships with shareholders and businesses in relation to marketing. This new role is embedded within the long term international development plans of the Club.

Strąg is a graduate of the Sports Management at Jagiellonian University in Poland. During her studies she decided to broaden her studies in a practical manner and worked with Wisła Krakow football club in the Polish Premier League. Next she embarked on the Erasmus+ program and spent three months in London as an intern at IBB Polonia London. The internship became extended into five years and worked within the club for that all of that time. She works from Poland and joins the team at various European locations depending on where the matches occur within the Champions League competition. Provided that the plan continues to evolve, the Polish branch of the Club, not only will find a permanent home by the Vistula river, but will grow her on role and increase the personnel in the office.

The new Director of Marketing has dedicated her professional life by specialising in volleyball. Over the five years, she has realised various goals for the Club and led within the role of marketing and business strategy. She has developed her marketing knowledge within training and gastronomy and fulfilled there of  Liaison Officer representing the FIVB during the World Club Championships and also as Event Manager during Champions League matches in Bełchatów organised by partners PGE Skra Bełchatów.

There are many new initiatives ahead of us, and so there will be many demands in the future as well as unknown situations. But for me these are motivational to more work and improving my skills whilst keeping an open mind to find a solution. I am sure the effects of my marketing work will be rewarding for the Club. This season is special for us. We make the intense efforts to create conditions for the club to raise capital and, as a result:
Create a professional volleyball team by providing the best possible training conditions and attracting the best players
Provide impressive tifo display, live streaming, and broadcasting matches on TV channels
Provide assistance for the Official Club Supporters and helping the organisation develop
Popularise of the development of volleyball in England
Promote the sporting union between Poland and England on the basis of longstanding historical and cultural conditions – to which we can now add sporting ones as well.
