Reinforcement at the outside hitter position at IBB Polonia

We are delighted to announce that Alvi Shurdhi is joining the Club for season 2021/22 and will be our new Outside Hitter.

Shurdhi is a very experienced player in European leagues. He has played in the elite of Greek clubs for several years and teams from Sweden and Germany. The last season he spent in FC Schuettorf. Thanks to his bilingual nationality (Greek and Albanian) he was part of Albania National Team between 2016 and 2018 and he played on national level many times. He competed with teams such as Sweden, Macedonia.

In the 2021/2022 season he has been signed on contract to IBB Polonia and he will be playing with us in the CEV Champions League.

Our new player is the third athlete who was announced so far as a player of current Champion of England. Previously, IBB Polonia signed Chilean volleyball star – Matias Banda and young and prospective British – Jack Williams.
