IBB Polonia came back with one point from Newcastle

IBB Polonia volleyball players came back with just one point from an away game against Newcastle. After a fierce fight metanees of Vangelis Koutouleas were made to accept the superiority of rivals from Team Northumbria.

The game was begun with flying colors by IBB Polonia. The players from London dictated the game on a high level and the first set was won with definite advantage by “Polonians” till 18. The next stage was more leveled, the hosts started to show their possibilities, but still there was no a single sign of what was going to happen in a minute. In the third set they won till 23, and the score of the fourth set was quite painful for IBB Polonia – the crew from British capital scored only 15 points. The tie break was a lot more balanced, it could even have been won by the guests, however it was the Team Northumbria that was dominant in this exciting game.

Vangelis Koutouleas, the coach of BB Polonia:  – The moment of deconcentration in the third set caused the loss of the whole meeting. We will surely analise the game, point out mistakes to eliminate them in the future when the most important matches are about to start in this season

Bartek Kisielewicz, the captain of IBB Polonia:  – The loss is always painful, but it’s good that we got it now, and not later when the season enters play offs. IBB Polonia – the leader of Super 8 League

IBB Polonia is at the top in tha table, having scored 32 points. In the second place is Team Northumbria (29 points), in the third position are the players from Sheffield Hallam( 18 points).

On Saturday, 5th March, IBB Polonia will play an away game with Leeds VC. The meeting will take place at Gryphon Sports Centre (Woodsley Rd, LS2 9LZ)  in Leeds. The beginnig of the match at 12:45.
