IBB Polonia has recruited Ramon Martinez Gion

We are delighted to inform that a huge reinforcement at the  position of receiver is confirmed. A very experienced Dutch player – Ramon Martinez Gion has joined IBB Polonia London for the upcoming season. He has been training with the London Club since the start of the training camp in Bełchatów.

The thirty year old player has recently been playing in France, Greece, United Arab Emirates, Germany and Belgium. Gion has significant international experience and has played multiples international top level events. He participated in CEV Champions League in the past. He won several trophies with his previous teams such as Dutch Cups and Championships or Greek Cups and Greek Championships. Amid his volleyball career, he played in one team with Dick Kooy, who is current outside hitter of PGE Skra Bełchatów – partnership Club of IBB Polonia London.

„When I was younger player I was thinking too far ahead. I don’t want to be focused on too distant games, just train, play and win match by match. My priority right now is to work hard to find my best level, because for the first time I couldn’t play beach volleyball during the summer break due to covid restrictions. If I find my top form, I can help the team the most. I will give my everything during the training to give the team the best results when the games come.” – added Gion.
