IBB Polonia London defeats the table leaders

The positive phase continues for IBB Polonia London. Simon Loftus’s players have still not lost a match this season. To assert themselves, they beat the team leading the Super League Essex Blaze. The match went the way of the team from London 2:3 (30:28; 17:25; 25:17; 21:25; 6:15) to give them more points to add to their account.

„The start of the match didn’t go well. We were uncertain at the start and made too many errors. Once we re-established the tactical plan and our serve started to function, the opposition couldn’t cope with our power. The main weapons that gave us the victory were serve and block” commented IBB Polonia assistant Coach, Patrik Selep.

The faithful fans travelled to the away match. The official fan Club organised a large contingent who attended the sports hall in Essex to help their team to victory.

„We were all looking forward to this top of the table encounter, and thanks to IBB Builders Merchants, we were able to travel with our team for free. We are delighted that we could support our team in this away fixture. The team showed courage and spirit and defeated the opponents, and we supported with all of our might” said Jan Ploszajski, President of the Official IBB Polonia London VC Supporters Club.

After the return to London, there will be no time to rest. The players must prepare for the next match and focus on this elements of their game that require attention.

„Recently we had to deal with a number of illnesses amongst the squad, which depleted attendance at training. I am hoping that we can prepare with the entire squad for the next week. On Saturday, we play in the next round of the National Cup at our home venue. Once again, we hope our supporters can help us over the finish line” concluded Patrik Selep

The next encounter for IBB Polonia London has been planned for Saturday, 10th November when the visitors will be Onyx London. The game will be played in Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre. Details of the match will be published on the internet.
