IBB Polonia London invites you to the season opener

For over a month, the players of IBB Polonia London have been training hard under the watchful eye of the new Head Coach, Piotr Graban. They are currently completing pre-season preparations as they approach the first match of the new season this Saturday.

The team has had a number of opportunities to test themselves at the City Volley Cup in Warsaw, played on the 9-11 September. They also played a friendly game against fellow Super 8 rivals Wessex. We are happy to report that this encounter finished with a 4:1 victory for IBB Polonia London.

– The team has been working very hard for about 6 weeks, since my arrival in the UK. I’m delighted that we had the chance to play against Wessex; a team that traditionally has been near the top of the Super 8 division. We managed to iron out some of our errors, and I hope that at each training and match, we will continue the improvements. We keep making little steps and must focus on each competitive situation as it approaches. The team must fight as though our lives depend on victory. – said Head Coach Piotr Graban.

The first match of the National Super 8 division will be between IBB Polonia London and fellow Londoners Malory Eagles. It will take place on saturday 24th September 2016 at 3pm at the usual home venue Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre. Spectators are warmly welcomed.
