IBB Polonia London match to be broadcast by Polsat
IBB Polonia London is the pioneer of the evolution of volleyball in Great Britain. There is no shortage of amazing ideas in The Club. Following the European matches last season and the transfer of Krzysztof Ignaczak- Volleyball World Champion – to the team, it is time for the next big step. This time the club from London will be using the boundaries of the digital world and broadcasting overseas. This coming Saturday, 14th October, will be the first home match of the season of the reigning Champions of England and it will be transmitted in Poland and over the internet. This solution starts the new club philosophy – to build professional, competitive and successful club on volleyball world map.
The Saturday game looks like being „a big one” not only as the match is between the two top teams in the UK (the reigning champions and the runners up from last season), This Saturday at Brentford Fountain leisure Centre, the sports hall will become a mecca of volleyball. Tara flex will be laid down, music will be playing, the fans will be there en masse and the whole event will be transmitted live overseas.
„This weekend, will begin the new generation of British volleyball. Right from the start we will be setting the bar very high! We are following in the footsteps of top European teams and hope to develop volleyball in this country at our home venue in London. Saturday’s game is only the beginning of where we are aiming to be in the future. I hope the fans will give their best as they will be on TV throughout the game. We encourage everyone to cheer and support” said Bartek Luszcz, IBB Polonia London Chairman.
Saturday’s game should be fascinating. Before the 3PM match to be played by IBB Polonia London, two female teams will be playing: Polonia SideOut London and Team Durham who start their game at 12.30PM UK time. Free tickets are available here and any one who calls themselves a true fan of volleyball should take the chance of watching some of the best sport in the UK available. If anyone is unavailable to come in person to watch, then the live transmission will be on the channel Facebook UNILAD Sport. All match will be also repeat on top polish sport TV – Polsat (channel Polsat Sport News; time 7.10PM london time). All Polsat sports channels are available online: https://www.ipla.tv/Sport ).
Polsat TV, in the past, transmitted the matches played by IBB Polonia London: this was thanks to the cooperation of PGE Skra who allowed us to play a CEV Challenge Cup match at their home venue in Belchatow Poland. PGE Skra is an official partner of IBB Polonia London. During the match Piotr Graban’s players beat the Hungarian Champions FINO Kaposvar 3-1(25:17, 25:22, 19:25, 25:19, golden set: 15:10) did progress to the next round of the CEV Challenge Cup in December 2016.
