Volleyball players of IBB Polonia beat Team Northumbria

Volleyball players of IBB Polonia ended 2015 year with stunning victory over Team Northumbria and are leading in Super 8 League table.

The match was played in front of fully filled center with spectators at Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre in western London.

The beginning of the match was very steady, for the first technical break IBB Polonia was leaving the court with a score of 8-7. Then, thanks to an excellent serve the volleyball players from London managed to go ahead for 33 points. They were dominating in every moment and they won the first set 25-19.

In the second set the opponent turned out to be more demanding . First of all, they strenghtened their serves and as a result the volleyball players of IBB Polonia encountered a problem to finish their attacks. It led to losing 11-17 by mentees of Vangelis Koutouleas

– The couch Vangelis Koutouleas went for a double shift that was effective. We caught up with the opponent for 2 points. With the set ball for Team Northumbria (22-24) it was possible to score a point directly in the serve, in the next action the opponent attacked in a form of out and it was 24-24. Eventually we won 27-25 after the next serve. The third set was steady again, however in the ending we strenghtened our block and managed to end the match in three sets.- it is how the captain of the team, Bartek Kisielewicz, covers the events on the court.

• This match is a won battle, there are some other ahead. We are half way through the season, we won’t rest on our laurels as much work is awaiting us. The most important for us all is the score which we will get at the end of the season of 2015/2016. – said the coach of IBB Polonia, Vangelis Koutouleas
• It is a very important victory. We are the leaders of Super 8 League without a loss in our account. There is a lot of work ahead of us. The season is in. – says th captain of the team, Bartek Kisielewicz.
