Volleyball players of London IBB Polonia on the top of the Super 8 League

After a total victory over London Docklands, volleyball players of IBB Polonia London are climbing the tables in the Super 8 League. During the following weekend, mentees of Vangelis Koutouleas will play with Team Northumbria for maintaining the position of a leader.

The match with Docklands was played in Sobell Leisure Centre, London district of Islington.

– Our opponent was the team which eliminated us from the fight for the championship of England. Therefore we knew that it was quite a challenge adding up to the fact that it was an away game. – says the captain of the IBB Polonia team, Bartek Kisielewicz.

– The first points we scored while playing very well in the serve and then in blocking what resulted in advantage of 3-4 points which turned out to be sufficient in this set. Ambitiously playing opponents managed to score 19 points in the first set. The second part we started with high spirits, not leaving the rivals a single illusion as it comes to which team is better. For the first technical break we left the court with advantage of 16-10 what made the coach to give all the subs a chance to take part. We won the second set with crushing odds of 25-15. The third set only confirmed our domination. The triumph of 25-14 let us gain 3 points. – adds Kisielewicz.

London Docklands – IBB Polonia 0-3 (19:25, 15:25, 14:25)

After that match volleyball players of IBB Polonia are on the top of the Super 8 League table with 17 points on their account. In the second place is Team Northumbria – 15 points, in the third is a team from Docklands – 14 points.

– The situation in the table is clear – the winner of that meeting will end the current year and welcome the following in the chair of a leader. So we will play one of the most important meeting in this stage with Team Northumbria. – says the chairman of IBB Polonia, Bartek Łuszcz.

On 20^th December we are inviting fans to Brentford to taste hot volleyball atmosphere. Great volleyball Sunday starts at 13:00 with match of women teams- Polonia Sideout against Team Northumbria. At 15:00 in Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre we will watch men.
